The Siler–Jones House, located in Franklin, North Carolina, was once home to Jesse R. Siler—one of the town’s founders. He acquired the property, which included an existing log cabin, around 1820. Shortly after, Siler began expanding the structure into a refined Federal-style home.
Today, this unique historic house, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is owned by Mainspring Conservation Trust and is being thoughtfully repurposed as office space for the organization. Our restoration efforts are deeply rooted in extensive research, including historic photographs, family letters, and hands-on exploration of original construction methods. These sources have guided our approach as we work to bring this remarkable home back to life.
